The Avoyelles Hospital laboratory is a fully accredited clinical laboratory which performs clinical testing of blood, body fluid, and tissue for physicians from around the state of LA. Specialty and sub-specialty services includes all areas of the medical spectrum from basic diagnostics to monitoring transplant patients and genetic analysis.
The laboratory is fully automated and computerized with leading edge technology. It is staffed by a host of highly trained and experienced professionals. Licensed and certified Pathologists, Medical Technologists, Technicians, and Phlebotomists are on staff 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. We pride ourselves in rapid and accurate results that are delivered by our automated information system to physicians and other healthcare entities.
Our laboratory performs over 400,000 tests per year for patients, physicians, nursing homes, and home health agencies.
