Allegiance Health Management Announces Purchase of Northern Louisiana Medical Center

RUSTON, La. (July 1, 2020) – – Privately held Allegiance Health Management announced today for CLHG-Ruston, the acquisition of 130-bed Northern Louisiana Medical Center and its associated services from subsidiaries of Tennessee-based Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS).

Northern Louisiana Medical Center is a 130-bed acute care hospital providing an array of medical services including: women’s center, intensive care, cardiology, vascular surgery, cardiac rehab and The Circle, senior citizens program. Affiliated facilities include Northern Louisiana Medical Center – Ruston Surgical Center. Ruston Surgical offers outpatient surgery, pain management and sleep studies. NLMC has served the community of Ruston and the surrounding area since 1963.

Allegiance Health Management, a Louisiana based healthcare company with corporate headquarters in Shreveport, currently provides administrative and management support services for 17 hospitals in four states with 11 acute care hospitals in Louisiana. There are currently discussions regarding a hospital replacement facility and medical office building(s). The transaction was completed June 30, 2020. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
